We are deeply grateful to Sifu Wong Chun Nga for compassionately sharing a prayer offering ceremony to commemorate Sifu’s birthday and honour him at his resting place.
We invite all Shaolin Wahnam family to come together and join hearts as we offer our thoughts, prayers and gratitude in memory of our beloved Sifu. The ceremony will take place online at 7.30am (Malaysia time MYT) on 1st December 2026

Sifu is always renowned for his healing wisdom; ‘Smile from the Heart’ and he brought so much joy to all. He transmitted the greatest teaching ‘Healing from the Heart’; the teaching of Compassion and Wisdom, a legacy transmitted directly from the Chan Past Masters and Buddha. ‘A butterfly flaps it’s wings and the heart flowers’. It is with deep gratitude to Kuan Yin Bodhisattva and all the Past Masters that Sifu’s book has now been divinely published, it is a gift to fulfil his last wish.

“In Quest of Cosmic Reality’ is an interpretation and commentary of the great work by Bodhisattva Asvaghosha.’Awakening of Faith in Mahayana’ is undoubtedly one of the greatest works in the world. Not only does it form the basis of Mahayana Buddhism, it also provides astonishing knowledge on cosmology, physics and psychology that modern sciences are beginning to rediscover!
Most importantly, it explains the philosophy and practice for aspirants of any religion or lack of it to attain the highest spiritual fulfilment. The treatise is divided into five parts, namely the reasons for its writing, the gist of the treatise, the philosophy of cosmic reality, the methods for its attainment, and the benefits to obtain. The chief reason for writing this treatise is to help sentient beings overcome suffering and attain eternal bliss. Other reasons include explaining the Tathagata, or the Supreme Reality, strengthening the faith of both backward and advanced devotees, providing expedient means for spiritual cultivation, explaining tranquility and insight meditation, helping followers of the Pure Land School to reach the Western Paradise, and enumerating the benefits of spiritual development. Although the teaching is already found in Buddhist scriptures, it is still presented here in the treatise because of variances in students abilities, teachers instruction, and learning situations.
This teaching is the vehicle used by all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas in their attainment of Enlightenment.”

Today is an auspicious day 1st November as Shakyamuni Buddha descended from Heaven of thirty-three to continue teaching here on earth out of compassion and it is in this treatise that Sifu translated; Awakening Faith in Mahayana, that Buddha’s teachings are shared to benefit all beings.
So, may we turn the pages of Sifu’s books, recite prayers from ‘Sukhavati Western Paradise Going to Heaven as Taught by the Buddha’ or ‘In Quest of Cosmic Reality’ and enjoy delicious chocolates, strawberries and ice-cream to commemorate Sifu’s birthday!
